Your Daily Sparkle

I Spy With My Little Eye . . .

A certain blonde HoCo flower child wearing an all too familiar knit dress over the weekend. I had my doubts of this particular dress, but she pulled it off the way it was supposed to be pulled off . . . fabulously.

You Scoundrel!

I personally like to begin every week with a fresh coat of paint on my digits. It keeps things bright and fresh and clean. Plus, the more chips and dings I get, the more aggravated I get. So, Mondays are my ritual manicure days so I can kick off the worst day of the week with a little splash of color.

This week I chose 'Scoundrel' by butter LONDON, which you can find at River Bridge!

It's a rich, matte violet purple that's deep enough to keep with the dark trend, but bright enough to remind you that Spring is just around the corner, no matter what Mother Nature says with her flip flopping temperatures!

So, if you feel your week could use a little kick start, try a fresh coat of polish. It always works for me!

Setting Up Shop

The constant changing of Facebook bothers me. It's almost as if every six months, about how long it takes to be perfectly and 100% comfortable with the look and where everything is, it changes. Plus, it is rather limiting on what you can do and post.

Therefore, I chose to start a blog.

The Facebook will continue to be around and alive, no need to worry. I'll just elaborate on what is posted there here. I feel more free here and I'm not bogged down by Facebook feeds and Farmville requests (no offense if that's your thing).

I'm an advocate of keeping things local. Local shopping. Local farms. Local wares. It's what keeps the charm of a small town alive. Especially local boutiques. It gives the area a certain sense of style and fashion. It raises the bar for those content to rest in sweats and tees. It makes the simple atmosphere of a small town that much prettier.

Kosciusko is blessed with a rather lively local shopping scene and we are proud to be one of them. We're all different and something special to offer the patrons of Koose-Koose, as my college friend so lovingly dubbed it after adopting his dog from here.

But I couldn't resist taking things one step further than our fellow businesses and start a blog all about our store, philosophy and the enjoyment of being a girl. Join me on my journey! And if you have something to say, write a comment?

Got a lot to say?

E-mail/Facebook me and we'll get a column of your own set up for you.

I believe in the equality of fashion for all, you know.
